South Korea will face South Africa in their final Group A match at the FIFA World Cup on Wednesday, with a place in the knockout stage on the line.
The match kicks off at 7 p.m. local time on Wednesday at Estadio Monterrey in Guadalupe, near Monterrey. South Korea sit second in the group with three points behind Mexico and can secure a knockout berth with a win or draw.
Lee Han-beom told reporters on June 22 in San Nicolas that his team is focused on victory. "We are not thinking about a draw. We will try to win the match no matter what," he said. Lee has started both prior matches alongside Kim Min-jae and Lee Gi-hyuk.
South Africa will be without midfielders Themba Zwane and Teboho Mokoena. South Korea opened with a 2-1 win over Czechia on June 11 before losing 1-0 to Mexico.
