Spotify verzeichnet 60 Prozent Wachstum bei Hörbüchern

Spotify gab am 21. Mai während seiner jährlichen Investorenveranstaltung starke Ergebnisse für seine Hörbuchangebote bekannt. Die Hördauer stieg im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 60 Prozent. Zudem enthüllte das Unternehmen Pläne für neue Abonnement-Stufen im weiteren Verlauf des Jahres.

Spotify teilte mit, dass die gesamte Hördauer von Hörbüchern im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 60 Prozent gestiegen ist. Mehr als 1 Million Nutzer haben sich für den Zusatzdienst Audiobooks+ angemeldet, der einen annualisierten Umsatz von 100 Millionen Dollar generiert. Diese Abonnenten erzielen laut Unternehmensbericht den dreifachen Lifetime-Value im Vergleich zu Standardnutzern, die Hörbücher hören.

Spotify has partnered with Peloton to bring on-demand workout classes and curated fitness content to its app. Premium subscribers can access thousands of ad-free classes in English, Spanish and German, while all users get playlists from wellness creators.
