Storytel chief: AI voices will become more numerous

A new American study shows that listeners prefer AI-generated voices in audiobooks when they do not know the difference. Storytel's global content chief Helena Gustafsson still sees room for both human and AI voices.

In the study, test persons listened to both human and AI-generated voices without knowing which was which. Many preferred the AI narration according to reports from Variety.
