The Supreme Court has annulled the 862,496 euro sanction imposed by the Court of Accounts on Vox for merchandising income between 2018 and 2020.
The high court upheld the appeal by Santiago Abascal's party and concluded that it was not proven that income from promotional products concealed irregular donations. The Court of Accounts resolution from April 2025 sanctioned Vox for a very serious infringement. It considered that contributions at party events were donations because the products lacked a fixed price and were collected in boxes labeled as donations. The Supreme Court notes that the oversight body did not prove the sums were disproportionate or exceeded the 300 euro limit for anonymous donations. It adds that Vox's management shows an uninhibited practice but does not constitute an illegal donation. The court had already annulled in October 2025 another 233,000 euro sanction against the same party for supposedly illegal donations.
