Korean film Colony has surpassed 2 million admissions just five days after release. Data from the Korean Film Council showed accumulated admissions reached 2,018,644 by Monday.
The film held the top spot at the daily box office for a fifth straight day Monday, selling 517,011 tickets.
Colony is the latest zombie thriller from director Yeon Sang-ho. It stars Jun Ji-hyun as a biotechnology professor, alongside Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook and Kim Shin-rok.
Hollywood film Michael took second place with 109,384 admissions, followed by animated title The Super Mario Galaxy Movie with 38,095. Colony reached the milestone faster than any other release this year.
