An Indiana man has been arrested on multiple felony charges following a reported violent assault on a woman at a home in Fayette County. Deputies responded after the victim sought medical treatment. The suspect remains in jail ahead of a July court date.
Justin H. Plummer, 44, was arrested after deputies responded Friday to a hospital report of an injured woman. According to a probable cause affidavit, the victim described being thrown to the ground, strangled, and waterboarded with a rag-like object over her face until she lost consciousness.
Plummer allegedly beat her on the head with a metal water bottle, creating a gash deep enough to expose her skull. He attempted to close the wound with superglue before passing out after drinking vodka and cranberry juice, allowing the victim to escape to a neighbor's home.
The victim later reported that Plummer forced her to perform a sex act during the assault and said he would love to blow her head off. Plummer faces two counts of rape while in possession of a deadly weapon along with charges of criminal confinement, strangulation, intimidation, and interference with reporting a crime. He is held on a $450,000 bond with his next court date set for July 29.
