Another family member, Abdullah Syauqi Jamaludin (22), survived and is receiving medical treatment with a stabilizing condition.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of North Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Onkoseno Grandiarso Sukahar, stated that during the crime scene processing (TKP), officers found foam in the mouths of the three victims and reddish rashes on their bodies. "They were found inside the rented house in a state of death. From the initial handling at the crime scene, foam was visible in the victims' mouths and reddish rashes," Onkoseno said on January 3, 2025.

Another finding was reported by the Head of Mobile Brigade Unit, Iptu Seno Adji Pradana, who noted blisters on several parts of the victims' bodies. "Visibly, there are (blisters) around the body," he told reporters on January 2, 2026. Police cannot yet confirm the cause of these blisters, which are under examination by the Forensic Laboratory of National Police Headquarters.

Suspicions of poisoning remain unconfirmed, as no suspicious items like poison were found in the house. Only tea was present in the kitchen being prepared. "We can't conclude yet. Still under examination. Not that it was drunk; there was just tea in the kitchen pot being prepared," Seno added.

The bodies were evacuated to Polri Hospital for autopsy and external examination. Evidence such as bottles, sheets, clothes, and other items was secured for further analysis by the Central Forensic Laboratory. Two other house residents, one of whom had just returned from work, are being questioned, with one also under care. The investigation continues to uncover the chronology of the incident.
