Cincinnati Reds closer Emilio Pagán suffered a Grade 2 left hamstring strain during Tuesday's game against the Chicago Cubs and was placed on the 15-day injured list. The team selected the contract of Tejay Antone from Triple-A Louisville to bolster the bullpen.
Pagán felt a pop in his left hamstring on his first pitch of the ninth inning in a 2-2 tie at Wrigley Field. He fell to the ground in pain and was taken off the field on a cart. An MRI confirmed the strain, and he is expected to miss four to eight weeks.
