El piloto argentino Franco Colapinto logró el octavo puesto en la clasificación Sprint del Gran Premio de Miami de Fórmula 1 este viernes. Superó a su compañero Pierre Gasly y alcanzó la Q3 con un tiempo de 1:29.320. Alpine y Flavio Briatore celebraron el rendimiento del pilarense.

Franco Colapinto mostró un sólido rendimiento en la clasificación Sprint del Gran Premio de Miami, celebrada el viernes 1 de mayo. En la Q2 registró 1:29.527 para clasificar octavo en esa fase, superando a Gasly (décimo), y selló su puesto en la Q3 con 1:29.320.

La grilla para la carrera Sprint del sábado quedó liderada por Lando Norris, seguido por Kimi Antonelli, Oscar Piastri, Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, George Russell, Lewis Hamilton y Colapinto. Alpine celebró en X (Twitter): “¡Vamos! Es 8º para Franco”, con emoji de aplausos. Su representante, María Catarineu, mostró euforia en el paddock.

Flavio Briatore, directivo de Alpine, felicitó a Colapinto: “A seguir”, alentó tras el primer día en Florida. El argentino igualó su mejor clasificación en F1, octavo en Azerbaiyán 2024, ante gran expectativa de fanáticos argentinos en las tribunas.
