Ideam alerta por temperaturas más altas de lo habitual en mayo

El Ideam informó sobre un incremento generalizado en las temperaturas máximas durante la primera semana de mayo, con valores cercanos o superiores a los récords históricos en varias regiones del país.

El Instituto de Hidrología, Meteorología y Estudios Ambientales advirtió sobre condiciones cálidas persistentes, sobre todo en la región Caribe, San Andrés y algunos municipios del interior. Ciudades como Valledupar registraron 38 °C, superando en 3,8 °C su promedio histórico mensual.

El reporte detalló aumentos en Barrancabermeja, Cúcuta, Medellín y Bogotá, donde el 5 de mayo se alcanzó un máximo de 22,2 °C. También se elevó el número de alertas por incendios de cobertura vegetal, con 24 municipios en alerta roja.

Según el Ideam, un sistema anticiclónico mantendrá cielo despejado y altas temperaturas al menos hasta inicios de la semana del 11 al 17 de mayo. Se prevé un aumento gradual de nubosidad y descenso de temperaturas máximas a partir del 12 y 13 de mayo.

Además, el instituto anticipa que en mayo gran parte del país tendrá lluvias por debajo de los valores normales, especialmente en las regiones Andina, Caribe y Pacífica.
