El titular del Juzgado de Instrucción número 4 de la Audiencia Nacional, José Luis Calama, ha rebajado este martes las medidas cautelares impuestas a Julio Martínez Martínez y otros investigados en el caso Plus Ultra. La decisión permite a los afectados moverse por el espacio Schengen y elimina la obligación de firmar cada quince días. El juez considera que el riesgo de fuga ha disminuido.

José Luis Calama, magistrado del Juzgado de Instrucción número 4, acordó levantar la prohibición de viajar fuera de España y la firma quincenal para Julio Martínez Martínez, Roberto Roselli y Julio Martínez Sola. La medida se basa en que el riesgo de fuga queda suficientemente conjurado con obligaciones menos restrictivas, como responder a comunicaciones judiciales y comunicar cambios de domicilio.

Los investigados siguen vinculados a presuntos delitos de blanqueo de capitales, organización criminal y apropiación indebida relacionados con el rescate de 53 millones de euros a la aerolínea Plus Ultra. La causa permanece secreta en la Audiencia Nacional.

Martínez Martínez, amigo del expresidente José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, enfrenta además la investigación de fondos depositados en Miami superiores a medio millón de euros. La Fiscalía Anticorrupción analiza posibles vínculos con Venezuela.
