Murió Julio Le Parc, artista argentino de arte cinético

Julio Le Parc falleció este sábado en París a los 97 años. El artista argentino, reconocido por sus experimentos con luz, color y movimiento, era una figura destacada del arte cinético.

Le Parc nació en 1928 en Palmira, Mendoza, y se radicó en Francia en 1958. Su obra formó parte del Groupe de Recherche d’Art Visuel y exploró la percepción visual a través de mecanismos simples.

Recibió el Gran Premio Internacional de Pintura de la Bienal de Venecia en 1966. Sus piezas se exhibieron en instituciones como el Palais de Tokyo, el Met Breuer y el Pérez Art Museum Miami.

El deceso ocurre mientras tenía prevista una muestra en la Tate Modern el 11 de junio. Le Parc mantuvo vínculos con Argentina a lo largo de su vida, con obras como la esfera “Sol” en el Aeropuerto de Ezeiza.
