Lambchop anuncia nuevo álbum y fechas de gira

La banda de Nashville Lambchop ha revelado su nuevo álbum Punching the Clown junto con una serie de fechas de gira por Norteamérica y Europa. El disco fue producido por Ryan Olson y cuenta con la participación de Justin Vernon en el banjo. El primer sencillo, Weakened, ya está disponible.

Lambchop grabó el álbum en el estudio April Base de Wisconsin. Kurt Wagner, el líder de la banda, se inspiró en las tradiciones de canto «lined out» arraigadas en la música gospel escocesa y de los Apalaches. Describió el estilo como una forma espontánea de canto a capela de llamada y respuesta que enfatiza el poder bruto de la voz humana.
