Ludvig Rensfeldt joins Stavanger Oilers on one-year deal

Ludvig Rensfeldt has signed a one-year contract with Stavanger Oilers in the Norwegian league. The 34-year-old forward leaves Djurgården after five seasons in Stockholm.

Rensfeldt, who was raised in Brynäs, has played his entire senior career in Sweden apart from one junior season in the OHL. He appeared in 422 SHL games for Brynäs, Rögle, Timrå, Örebro and Djurgården, recording 178 points. Stavanger Oilers announced the signing on its website on Wednesday. Rensfeldt will join Swedish teammates Mattias Nörstebö, Linus Pettersson and Mathias Trettenes in the Norwegian club. The move marks Rensfeldt’s first professional stint outside Sweden after also playing in the HockeyAllsvenskan for BIK Karlskoga, Malmö and Djurgården.
