Hombre de Nueva York acusado de amenazar al presidente Trump

Un hombre de 43 años de Oswego enfrenta cargos federales tras presuntamente publicar numerosas amenazas contra el presidente Donald Trump y su familia en redes sociales.

Joshua Alexander fue arrestado el 6 de junio cerca de su hogar en Oswego, Nueva York, después de que agentes del Servicio Secreto de EE. UU. lo interrogaran sobre publicaciones en X.

Los fiscales federales afirman que Alexander admitió haber enviado más de 100 correos electrónicos a la Casa Blanca y haber hecho declaraciones que incluían promesas de alquilar un auto, cazar, violar y asesinar al presidente. También supuestamente escribió sobre decapitar al presidente.

Alexander está acusado de realizar una amenaza terrorista en el Distrito Norte de Nueva York. Su defensor público ha argumentado que las publicaciones en línea no alcanzan el umbral legal para el cargo y planea solicitar su desestimación.

La policía de Oswego señaló que las amenazas crearon un temor razonable por la vida del presidente y provocaron una respuesta del Servicio Secreto.
