Mercuria Energy Group Ltd. comprará la refinería Dock Sud y unas 700 estaciones de servicio de Raízen SA en una operación de 1.420 millones de dólares.

Mercuria Energy Group Ltd. acordó la compra de una de las mayores refinerías de Argentina y una red de cientos de estaciones de servicio a la brasileña Raízen SA. La operación, valorada en 1.420 millones de dólares, se concretó tras competencia con Vitol Group.

La adquisición incluye la refinería Dock Sud, ubicada en las afueras de Buenos Aires, y unas 700 estaciones de servicio. El cierre de la transacción está previsto para este año, sujeto a aprobaciones regulatorias.

Mercuria señaló que Argentina representa un mercado energético importante con oportunidades de crecimiento. La operación creará un tercer productor integrado de petróleo en el país, detrás de YPF SA y Pan American Energy Group.
