Edificio de Ramos de Azevedo en el centro de São Paulo será restaurado

El empresario Allan Ruiz adquirió un edificio diseñado por el arquitecto Francisco de Paula Ramos de Azevedo en la calle Roberto Simonsen, 97, cerca del Pateo do Collegio en el centro de São Paulo, y planea restaurarlo para convertirlo en un espacio cultural. La estructura, catalogada por el Conpresp en 2015, fue construida en 1916 para albergar sociedades médicas. Más de 500 personas participaron en una visita guiada el pasado sábado.

El edificio de la calle Roberto Simonsen, 97, había estado abandonado durante décadas, pero ahora será objeto de una restauración inmediata. Diseñado en 1916 para la Sociedade de Medicina e Cirurgia de São Paulo y la Policlínica, que lo ocuparon hasta 1939, la propiedad cambió de manos varias veces y fue objeto de una restauración parcial de su fachada.

Allan Ruiz, el nuevo propietario, pretende convertirlo en un espacio cultural. El Consejo Municipal para la Preservación del Patrimonio Histórico, Cultural y Ambiental de São Paulo (Conpresp) catalogó el edificio en 2015, garantizando su protección.

Francisco de Paula Ramos de Azevedo (1851-1928) dio forma al paisaje del centro de São Paulo con más de 30 grandes proyectos entre 1886 y 1928, incluyendo el Theatro Municipal, el Mercadão y el Palácio da Justiça.
