Un ucraniano es imputado en Francia por presunta tortura en la prisión de Izoliatsia

Un ciudadano ucraniano que residía en Francia desde 2021 ha sido imputado y puesto en detención provisional por crímenes contra la humanidad, según anunció el viernes la Fiscalía Nacional Antiterrorista francesa.

Yehven B., nacido en 1979 en Donetsk, es sospechoso de haber participado en actos de tortura entre 2016 y 2019 en la prisión de Izoliatsia, un antiguo centro de arte contemporáneo convertido en centro de detención por separatistas prorrusos. La Fiscalía Nacional Antiterrorista señala que se le acusa de extorsionar confesiones, infligir violencia y cometer actos inhumanos, incluida la violencia sexual, contra los reclusos. Antiguos detenidos fueron entrevistados en Francia y Ucrania mediante cooperación judicial. Izoliatsia es descrito por Amnistía Internacional y el Alto Comisionado de las Naciones Unidas para los Derechos Humanos como un lugar donde cientos de personas han sido torturadas, especialmente desde la invasión rusa de 2022.
