Universidad de Chile realiza votaciones para rectoría y FECH este martes

La Universidad de Chile lleva a cabo este martes 12 de mayo elecciones electrónicas para elegir rector para el período 2026-2030 y la presidencia de la Federación de Estudiantes.

Cuatro candidatos compiten por la rectoría: Francisco Martínez, decano de la Facultad de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas; Pablo Ruiz-Tagle, decano de la Facultad de Derecho; Alejandra Mizala, académica de la misma facultad; y Sergio Lavandero, académico de la Facultad de Ciencias Químicas y Farmacéuticas. La votación electrónica se realiza entre las 9:00 y las 17:00 horas y es la primera de su tipo en la historia de la institución.

Si ningún candidato obtiene más del 50% de los votos ponderados, se realizará una segunda vuelta el martes 2 de junio. El padrón incluye 4.222 académicos.

De forma paralela concluye la elección para la FECH, donde las listas “Conectemos la Chile”, liderada por Laura Mlynarz, y “Nuevo Horizonte”, encabezada por Ricardo Román, buscan la presidencia. El quórum mínimo ya se alcanzó, por lo que la federación tendrá representante oficial.
