French studio Don't Nod has revealed it may run out of money by November without new funding for its next project.
The developer behind Life is Strange and Aphelion reported €8.8 million in cash reserves as of April. Its co-owner Tencent, which holds a 42 percent stake since 2021, has declined to support the studio's upcoming game or increase its investment.
Studio president Oskar Guilbert said leadership has sought commitments from other publishers without success so far. The company is scaling back Project P14, its next title, which may launch earlier with a reduced scope.
Don't Nod's board will meet on 17 June to consider options. The studio previously cut staff in Montreal in 2025 and announced redundancies in 2024 after games including Jusant underperformed.
