Don't Nod varnar för kontantbrist till november

Den franska studion Don't Nod har meddelat att pengarna kan ta slut till november om de inte får ny finansiering för sitt nästa projekt.

Utvecklaren bakom Life is Strange och Aphelion rapporterade kontantreserver på 8,8 miljoner euro i april. Delägaren Tencent, som har ägt 42 procent av aktierna sedan 2021, har tackat nej till att finansiera studions kommande spel eller öka sin investering.

Studiochefen Oskar Guilbert uppger att ledningen hittills har sökt åtaganden från andra förläggare utan framgång. Företaget skalar nu ner Project P14, dess nästa titel, som kan komma att lanseras tidigare med ett minskat omfång.

Don't Nods styrelse sammanträder den 17 juni för att överväga olika alternativ. Studion skar tidigare ner personalstyrkan i Montreal under 2025 och aviserade uppsägningar under 2024 efter att spel som Jusant presterat under förväntan.
