Puolustaja Mattias Ekholm on lupautunut edustamaan Ruotsia tulevissa Sveitsin MM-kilpailuissa. 35-vuotias Edmontonin pelaaja jäi paitsi olympialaisista, mutta tekee nyt ensimmäisen MM-esiintymisensä sitten vuoden 2018.

Tre Kronorin päävalmentaja Sam Hallam vahvisti täydennyksen oltuaan suorassa yhteydessä Ekholmiin NHL-kauden päätyttyä.
