Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said a feature allowing Full Self-Driving to navigate directly to specific parking spots is coming soon. The announcement followed a request from a driver on the social platform X.
The exchange started when user Whole Mars Catalog posted about Tesla’s new Preferred Routes feature. This tool prioritizes paths drivers have taken before.
User Bob Derise then described needing to disengage the system each morning to reach his designated spot in a work parking lot. He asked for the ability to set a destination inside the lot.
Musk replied directly with the words “It’s coming soon.” The request relates to the 2026 Summer Update that is already rolling out to vehicles.
The addition would let drivers complete trips from one parking spot to another without manual intervention at the end.
