Lukashenko and Prabowo launch 2026-2030 cooperation roadmap

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko met Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at Istana Merdeka in Jakarta on Thursday (2/7/2026). The two leaders launched the Roadmap for Strengthening Indonesia-Belarus Cooperation 2026-2030.

Lukashenko highlighted the historical ties dating back to the Soviet era and official diplomatic relations established in 1993. He said Indonesia remains an important partner for Belarus in Southeast Asia.

Both sides agreed to expand cooperation in agriculture, industry, trade, food security, and science and technology. Lukashenko offered support through fertilizers, agricultural machinery, and technology to strengthen Indonesia's food self-sufficiency.

Belarus welcomed plans to open an Indonesian embassy in Minsk along with direct flights and visa-free travel. These measures are expected to boost tourist visits and people-to-people contacts.

Lukashenko expressed appreciation for Prabowo's support in strengthening bilateral relations based on friendship and mutual trust.
