Indonesia and Belarus agree on seven priority cooperation deals

President Prabowo Subianto and President Aleksandr Lukashenko witnessed the signing of seven memoranda of understanding at Istana Merdeka in Jakarta on July 2, 2026.

The two leaders launched the Roadmap for Strengthening Indonesia–Belarus Cooperation 2026–2030 as a framework for bilateral ties over the next five years. Prabowo expressed hope that the agreements would be implemented soon to deliver tangible benefits to both nations.

The signed documents cover cooperation in industry, culture, financial services, health, research and innovation, financial transaction reporting, and national accreditation. The countries also discussed potential collaboration in food security and trade.

Lukashenko affirmed Belarus's support for implementing the roadmap. He described Indonesia as an important economic partner for Belarus in Southeast Asia.
