Marcoleta at Defensor nagpa-not guilty sa Sandiganbayan

Sen. Rodante Marcoleta at dating kongresista Michael Defensor ay nagpahayag ng not guilty sa kanilang mga kaso sa Sandiganbayan.

Si Marcoleta ay nagpahayag ng not guilty sa kasong plunder sa Third Division kahapon. Inalis ng kanyang kampo ang mosyon na i-dismiss ang kaso at kinumpirma niya na boluntaryo ang desisyon.

Si Defensor naman ay nagpahayag ng not guilty sa kasong paglabag sa Presidential Decree 46 sa Fourth Division. Ang kaso ay may kinalaman sa P30 milyon na ibinigay niya kay Marcoleta para sa kampanya sa Senado.

Kasama sa kaso sina Joseph Espiritu at Aristotle Viray. Nakakulong silang lahat sa New Quezon City Jail. Nagtakda ang korte ng mga petsa para sa marking ng ebidensya at pretrial sa Hulyo at Agosto.
