Meta announced Tuesday that Threads has reached 500 million monthly active users. The platform also introduced new community expansions and a personalization tool called Your Algo.
Meta launched Threads in 2023. The app reached the new user milestone nearly three years later, showing sustained growth rather than a post-launch slowdown.
The company rolled out expanded Communities features to encourage topic-focused interactions. It also introduced Your Algo, which lets users give direct feedback on recommended content in their feeds.
Your Algo is currently available in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The updates reflect Meta’s shift toward improving retention and user engagement on the platform.
