Peso Pluma celebrates Mexico World Cup victory at LA event

Peso Pluma marked Mexico's opening win at the 2026 World Cup during a watch party he headlined in Los Angeles.

The artist joined fans on June 11 at the Adidas 2026 World Cup Opening Watch Party held at BMO Stadium. Mexico defeated South Africa 3-0 earlier that day.

Peso Pluma expressed pride while wearing the national jersey. "Mexicans are the most bada–, man," he said in an interview with Billboard.

He shared hopes for the team's next match against South Korea on June 18. "May God bless them and may they give it their all, so that this time we’re in that [final] game," Pluma stated. He added that Mexico is going to win, invoking the law of attraction.

The Grammy winner also discussed his song "Daño" from the 2026 album Dinastía, which reached No. 5 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart and stood at No. 9 at the time.
