The family of slain Nairobi advocate Tom Ouya Imbukwa has shared preliminary postmortem results showing severe injuries on the right side of his body. Family lawyer Njanja Maina spoke at the Kenyatta National Hospital farewell home on Friday, April 24.

"We can confirm as a family that the postmortem established that he had severe injuries on the right side of his body. What has caused the injuries in the manner and extent has not been established," Maina said. Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers have taken samples for forensic analysis to determine the cause of the injuries.

The family plans to meet DCI officers next Tuesday, when investigators will present scene documentation and CCTV footage analysis. Imbukwa was found tortured at Harambee SACCO estate in Nairobi and admitted to the ICU at Kenyatta National Hospital, where he died.

Law Society of Kenya President Charles Kanjama condemned the killing, stating the lawyer was assaulted, tortured, and murdered by unknown persons. "The circumstances surrounding Tom's death demand our unequivocal condemnation and immediate action," Kanjama said, urging the public to share information.
