A família planeja se reunir com agentes da DCI na próxima terça-feira, quando os investigadores apresentarão a documentação da cena e a análise das imagens de câmeras de segurança. Imbukwa foi encontrado torturado no conjunto habitacional Harambee SACCO, em Nairóbi, e admitido na UTI do Hospital Nacional Kenyatta, onde faleceu.

O presidente da Law Society of Kenya, Charles Kanjama, condenou o assassinato, declarando que o advogado foi agredido, torturado e morto por pessoas desconhecidas. "As circunstâncias que cercam a morte de Tom exigem nossa condenação inequívoca e ação imediata", disse Kanjama, pedindo que o público compartilhe qualquer informação.
