DCI confirma duas prisões pelo assassinato de clérigo da PCEA em Nakuru

A polícia queniana prendeu dois suspeitos em conexão com o assassinato do reverendo Julius Ngari em uma igreja em Nakuru. As prisões ocorrem após o ataque de 3 de maio que deixou o clérigo morto e um vigia ferido.

A Diretoria de Investigações Criminais (DCI) informou que os suspeitos foram detidos após serem encontrados com objetos de valor roubados durante o ataque à Igreja PCEA Tabuga, no subcondado de Nakuru Norte.

Investigadores relataram que os agressores entraram no complexo por volta das 2 da manhã do dia 4 de maio e visaram a casa paroquial onde o reverendo Ngari vivia. Seu corpo foi descoberto amarrado e com graves ferimentos na cabeça e no pescoço. Um vigia da igreja, que pode ter tentado intervir, também foi encontrado inconsciente e com ferimentos.

Uma autópsia realizada em 6 de maio confirmou que múltiplos ferimentos na cabeça causaram a morte do reverendo. A DCI afirmou que os dois suspeitos permanecem sob custódia para interrogatório enquanto as investigações continuam sobre uma possível rede criminosa mais ampla.
