President Marcos and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney visited a Jollibee branch in Vancouver after their bilateral meeting, highlighting growing business ties between the Philippines and Canada.
President Marcos and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney visited the Jollibee branch at 833 Granville Street in Vancouver right after their bilateral meeting and joint press conference at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
“There’s no better place to celebrate the friendship between the Philippines and Canada than over a Jolly meal,” Marcos said. The leaders interacted with customers, were introduced to menu items, and Marcos shook hands with the Jollibee mascot.
Carney joked that they were heading to Jollibee for real sustenance after skipping their working lunch. Jollibee Foods Corp. marks its 10th anniversary in Canada this year and plans expansion to over 85 locations, supporting jobs and Philippine exports, according to the Presidential Communications Office.
