Saudi government issues no furoda hajj visas this year

Indonesia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) confirms the Saudi government is not issuing furoda hajj visas this year. The public is urged to beware of social media offers for queue-free hajj trips. Deputy Minister Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak stressed that only standard hajj visas are legal.

Jakarta – Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak stated on Thursday that the Saudi government is not issuing furoda hajj visas this year. "Gak ada, jadi tahun ini Saudi tidak mengeluarkan visa haji furoda. Jadi yang jelas visa yang legal itu namanya visa haji," he said.

He warned of rampant social media offers for quick, queue-free hajj trips as potential scams or illegal operations, including 'Haji Tenol' claims. Kemenhaj and Polri are forming a task force to prevent illegal hajj. "Itu yang mau kita cegah. Kalau tetap berulang, maka secara otomatis pihak kepolisian akan melakukan penindakan pidana," he added.

Only two official routes exist: regular hajj with about 26-year waits and special hajj with around six years. "Tidak ada haji tanpa antre. Haji itu pasti antre," Dahnil emphasized. The government is improving hajj management per President Prabowo Subianto's directives to shorten waits.

The public is advised to register officially to avoid losses and legal issues.
