Al-Sissi inaugure le projet de la Nouvelle Delta avec des investissements approchant les 800 milliards de livres égyptiennes

Le président égyptien Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi a inauguré dimanche le projet agricole de la Nouvelle Delta à Gizeh. Cette initiative s'inscrit dans le cadre des efforts visant à étendre les terres cultivables et à améliorer la sécurité alimentaire.

Le projet vise à récupérer et à cultiver environ 2,2 millions de feddans en utilisant les eaux de drainage agricole traitées. Il comprend d'importantes infrastructures telles que des stations de pompage d'eau, des routes et des installations électriques.

Selon un communiqué de la présidence égyptienne, le total des investissements a atteint près de 800 milliards de livres égyptiennes. Les coûts de développement se situent entre 350 000 et 400 000 livres égyptiennes par feddan, et le projet comprend environ 12 000 kilomètres de routes.

Al-Sissi a souligné que 19 grandes stations de pompage et des centrales électriques d'une capacité combinée d'environ 2 000 mégawatts ont été construites. Cet effort devrait permettre de créer environ deux millions d'emplois durables, les entreprises du secteur privé se chargeant de la mise en culture.
