The 2026 MLB All-Star Game is scheduled for Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. American League manager John Schneider selected Blue Jays pitcher Dylan Cease as the starter, while National League manager Dave Roberts chose Phillies left-hander Cristopher Sánchez.
Cease leads the AL in FanGraphs WAR and strikeouts. Sánchez is 11-4 with a 2.62 ERA and leads all pitchers with 5.4 bWAR. Both pitchers expressed excitement about the opportunity during media day on Monday.
The AL lineup features Mike Trout leading off in center field for the Angels. Ben Rice of the Yankees starts at first base after injuries to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Nick Kurtz. The NL side includes Kyle Schwarber at designated hitter and Brandon Marsh in right field.
Several first-time All-Stars, including Yankees duo Ben Rice and Cam Schlittler plus Tigers rookie Kevin McGonigle, are set to participate. McGonigle, a Philadelphia-area native, described the experience as surreal while preparing to play in his hometown park.
The game will air on FOX at 8 p.m. ET. It marks the first All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park and the fifth hosted by Philadelphia.
