La marine colombienne déploiera plus de 4 600 membres du personnel pour les élections présidentielles

La marine colombienne a annoncé le déploiement de plus de 4 600 membres du personnel le long de la côte Pacifique afin d'assurer la sécurité lors des élections présidentielles du 31 mai.

L'opération fait partie du Plan Democracia et sera dirigée par la Force navale du Pacifique. Elle couvrira 17 municipalités à travers les départements de Nariño, Cauca, Chocó et Valle del Cauca.

Les unités comprennent 12 unités maritimes, 26 terrestres, plus de 30 fluviales et quatre aéronavales. Elles effectueront des patrouilles et accompagneront les électeurs dans les zones urbaines et rurales.

La marine surveillera 308 bureaux de vote et 455 tables de vote pour plus de 100 000 citoyens. L'effort sera coordonné avec l'armée nationale, la police nationale et la Registraduría par le biais de postes de commandement unifiés.
