Armada de Colombia desplegará más de 4.600 uniformados para elecciones presidenciales

La Armada de Colombia anunció el despliegue de más de 4.600 efectivos en el litoral Pacífico para garantizar la seguridad durante las elecciones presidenciales del 31 de mayo.

El operativo forma parte del Plan Democracia y será liderado por la Fuerza Naval del Pacífico. Cubrirá 17 municipios en los departamentos de Nariño, Cauca, Chocó y Valle del Cauca.

Las unidades incluyen 12 marítimas, 26 terrestres, más de 30 fluviales y cuatro aeronavales. Estas realizarán patrullajes y acompañamiento a votantes en zonas urbanas y rurales.

La Armada custodiara 308 puestos de votación y 455 mesas electorales para más de 100 mil ciudadanos. El esfuerzo se coordinará con el Ejército Nacional, la Policía Nacional y la Registraduría mediante puestos de mando unificado.
