Une femme du Colorado fait face à des accusations de meurtre au second degré après que les procureurs ont affirmé qu'elle avait fourni de l'alcool à sa fille de 16 ans, contribuant ainsi au décès de l'adolescente en mars.

Grace a été retrouvée inanimée dans une salle de bain au domicile familial, situé dans le bloc 6400 de West 85th Avenue, le 9 mars. Une autopsie a déterminé que la cause du décès était une pneumonie par aspiration liée à une consommation chronique d'alcool. Les enquêteurs ont retrouvé 173 bouteilles d'alcool vides dans la chambre de l'adolescente ainsi que des messages numériques montrant des discussions quotidiennes sur l'alcool depuis septembre 2025. Mme Ryan a été mise en examen sous une caution en numéraire de 500 000 dollars et doit comparaître devant le tribunal le 17 juin pour une audience préliminaire. Les procureurs ont déclaré que l'adolescente avait été retirée de son lycée et présentait des signes de dégradation sévère de sa santé avant son décès.
