La Comelec exhorte les électeurs à s'inscrire avant la date limite du 18 mai

La Commission électorale a appelé les électeurs éligibles à finaliser leur inscription d'ici le lundi 18 mai, en prévision des élections des Barangay et du Sangguniang Kabataan de 2026.

Le président de la Comelec, George Erwin Garcia, a déclaré que la date limite est fixée au lundi et qu'aucune prolongation ne sera accordée. Il a rappelé aux citoyens que les nouvelles inscriptions, les transferts, les réactivations et les mises à jour des informations électorales doivent être terminés avant le 18 mai.

L'organe électoral a affirmé être prêt à assister les personnes en situation de handicap, les seniors, les peuples autochtones et les autres groupes vulnérables durant le processus. Les candidats peuvent s'inscrire dans des bureaux satellites, sur des sites situés dans des centres commerciaux ou auprès du bureau électoral local.

Les derniers chiffres montrent que 4 740 551 demandes ont été déposées jusqu'à présent. Les élections des Barangay et du Sangguniang Kabataan sont prévues pour le 2 novembre.
