La Comisión de Elecciones ha hecho un llamado a los votantes elegibles para que completen su registro antes del lunes 18 de mayo, de cara a las Elecciones de Barangay y Sangguniang Kabataan de 2026.

El presidente de la Comelec, George Erwin Garcia, declaró que la fecha límite es el lunes y que no habrá prórroga. Recordó a los ciudadanos que los nuevos registros, traslados, reactivaciones y actualizaciones de datos electorales deben finalizarse antes del 18 de mayo.

El organismo electoral señaló que está preparado para asistir a personas con discapacidad, adultos mayores, pueblos indígenas y otros grupos vulnerables durante el proceso. Los solicitantes pueden registrarse en oficinas satélites, centros comerciales o en la oficina del funcionario electoral local.

Las cifras más recientes indican que hasta el momento se han presentado 4,740,551 solicitudes. Las Elecciones de Barangay y Sangguniang Kabataan están programadas para el 2 de noviembre.
