Le fils d'un dirigeant du Congrès abattu, un autre blessé au Chhattisgarh

Trois assaillants non identifiés ont fait irruption au domicile d'un dirigeant local du Congrès dans le district de Janjgir-Champa au Chhattisgarh tôt vendredi et ont ouvert le feu, tuant un fils et en blessant un autre. L'attaque s'est produite vers 00h30 dans le village de Karhi. La police enquête sur le mobile.

Trois attaquants masqués sont arrivés à moto à la résidence de Sammelal Kashyap, un dirigeant local du Congrès, dans le village de Karhi sous la juridiction du poste de police de Birra vers 00h30 ce vendredi 24 avril 2026. Ils ont fait irruption dans la maison située dans le district de Janjgir-Champa et ont ouvert le feu, tuant un fils et en blessant un autre, selon le surintendant adjoint de la police de Janjgir-Champa, Umesh Kashyap.

M. Kashyap a déclaré aux journalistes que les assaillants n'ont pas encore été identifiés. La police a ouvert une enquête sur l'incident et est à la recherche des suspects.

L'attaque contre la famille du dirigeant du Congrès a suscité l'émoi dans le district. Aucun mobile n'a été établi pour le moment.
