Guillermo del Toro a présenté une nouvelle version 4K restaurée du Labyrinthe de Pan au Festival de Cannes. La projection a inauguré la sélection Cannes Classics le 12 mai.

Del Toro a évoqué la première originale de 2006, qui s'était conclue par une ovation record de 23 minutes. Il a décrit ce moment comme les applaudissements les plus longs et les plus émouvants de sa carrière. Le cinéaste a reconnu qu'Alfonso Cuarón l'avait aidé à accepter cet élan de soutien lors de l'événement au théâtre Debussy.
