Un émeutier du 6 janvier condamné à la prison pour un cambriolage en Virginie

Un homme précédemment condamné pour ses actions lors de l'assaut du Capitole le 6 janvier 2021 a été condamné à sept ans de prison pour s'être introduit par effraction dans une maison du comté de Henrico. Zachary Alam, âgé de 34 ans, a été reconnu coupable l'automne dernier d'effraction dans une résidence occupée et de grand larcin.

Alam est entré dans la résidence par une porte arrière le 8 mai 2025, aux alentours de 23 heures. Il a passé entre 10 et 15 minutes à l'intérieur à fouiller les pièces et à dérober des effets personnels avant que la famille ne le confronte. Il a inventé des excuses pour justifier sa présence puis est parti, après quoi la police l'a localisé et arrêté à proximité.
