L'actrice a interprété la chirurgienne traumatologue, le Dr Hannah Tramble, dans l'épisode 19 de la saison 3 de Chicago Fire. Cet épisode servait de pilote pour la série dérivée.

Holden devait rejoindre Chicago Med dans un rôle récurrent. Elle s'est par la suite retirée pour des raisons familiales.

Dans un communiqué, elle a déclaré être reconnaissante envers Dick Wolf et son équipe. Elle a ajouté que la série rencontrerait un immense succès.
