Payward proposera un accès tokenisé aux introductions en bourse américaines

Payward, la société mère de la plateforme d'échange de cryptomonnaies Kraken, a annoncé son intention de permettre aux investisseurs particuliers de participer aux introductions en bourse (IPO) américaines au prix d'offre en utilisant des actions tokenisées.

L'entreprise a déclaré mercredi qu'elle permettrait bientôt aux clients de Kraken et d'autres membres de la xStocks Alliance d'investir dans des introductions en bourse cotées aux États-Unis par le biais d'actions tokenisées. Dans le cadre de ce dispositif, les allocations d'IPO seront regroupées sur différentes plateformes, les actions tokenisées étant adossées un pour un à des titres sous-jacents détenus par un dépositaire réglementé. Les premières offres sont attendues dans les semaines à venir. Payward a souligné que cette initiative s'inscrit dans le cadre d'efforts plus larges visant à élargir l'accès aux marchés des capitaux grâce à la technologie blockchain. La structure xStocks a traité plus de 30 milliards de dollars en volume de transactions et plus de 6 milliards de dollars en règlements on-chain. La société proposera uniquement des IPO pour lesquelles elle a obtenu des allocations, a précisé un porte-parole de Payward. L'investissement pré-IPO comporte des risques, notamment en cas de sursouscription et de volatilité des prix une fois que les échanges ont commencé.
