Petrobras approuve un investissement de 1,2 milliard de dollars à Cubatão

Le conseil d'administration de Petrobras a approuvé vendredi un investissement de 1,2 milliard de dollars américains pour produire des carburants renouvelables à la raffinerie de Cubatão, dans l'État de São Paulo.

Le projet comprend une usine d'une capacité allant jusqu'à 15 000 barils par jour de BioQAV et de diesel renouvelable. Le début des opérations est prévu pour 2030, et la construction devrait commencer plus tard cette année.

La décision s'inscrit dans le plan d'affaires 2026-2030 de l'entreprise, doté d'un budget total de 109 milliards de dollars américains. Sur ce montant, 4,8 milliards de dollars seront alloués aux bioproduits.

L'entreprise a déclaré que ce projet soutient une transition énergétique juste et les objectifs du secteur mondial de l'aviation. Le BioQAV contribuera à atteindre les objectifs du programme Combustível do Futuro pour la décarbonation du transport aérien brésilien.
