Un album posthume d'Ed Askew prévu pour juillet

Le label Drag City sortira le 31 juillet un nouvel album posthume du regretté chanteur folk et artiste Ed Askew. The Final Painting est composé de maquettes enregistrées entre 2020 et son décès en janvier 2025.

L'album a été produit par Jerry David DeCicca, qui avait déjà collaboré avec Askew sur l'album For the World sorti en 2013. Il comprend les contributions de plusieurs musiciens, notamment Sharon Van Etten aux chœurs sur le morceau Gray Air-o-Plane et Bill Callahan sur Someone. William Tyler et Eve Searls figurent également sur ce disque.
