Le maire de Santos annonce une mise en congé temporaire pour soigner un cancer

Rogério Santos, maire de Santos, a déclaré qu'il se retirerait temporairement de ses fonctions pour traiter un cancer du col de l'utérus à un stade précoce. L'adjointe au maire assurera l'intérim.

L'annonce a été faite dans une vidéo publiée sur les réseaux sociaux lundi. Santos, âgé de 60 ans, a précisé qu'il suivrait les recommandations médicales et continuerait de suivre les affaires municipales à distance. Il a été élu pour la première fois en 2020 et réélu en 2024 pour un mandat allant jusqu'en 2028. L'adjointe au maire, Audrey Kleys, assurera la direction par intérim. Le congé sera officiellement publié au journal officiel mardi.
