Prefeito de Santos anuncia afastamento temporário para tratar câncer

Rogério Santos, prefeito de Santos, informou que deixará temporariamente o cargo para tratar um câncer na região cervical diagnosticado em fase inicial. A vice-prefeita assumirá interinamente.

O anúncio foi feito em vídeo nas redes sociais na segunda-feira. Santos, de 60 anos, afirmou que seguirá orientações médicas e continuará acompanhando os trabalhos da prefeitura à distância.

Ele foi eleito em 2020 e reeleito em 2024 para mandato até 2028. A vice-prefeita Audrey Kleys assumirá o comando interinamente.

A oficialização do afastamento será publicada no Diário Oficial desta terça-feira.
