Apollo Hospitals launches centre for venous disorders in Chennai

Apollo Hospitals has opened a Centre for Venous Disorders at its Greams Road hospital in Chennai. The new facility provides specialized care for conditions such as varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, and chronic venous insufficiency. It combines expertise from vascular surgery, radiology, dermatology, and wound care.

The centre was launched on 11 May 2026 to address venous disorders that often remain undiagnosed. CEO Ilankumaran Kaliamoorthy of Apollo Hospitals Chennai Region said the facility will deliver precise and minimally invasive treatments that support quick recovery.

Vascular surgeons Balaji and Rajarajan Venkatesan attended the launch along with Naveen, CEO of Apollo Hospitals Greams Road, and Dr Anil, DMS of Apollo Hospitals Cluster 1 in Chennai. The centre offers comprehensive care under one roof for varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, venous ulcers, bleeding, and chronic venous insufficiency.

The initiative focuses on improving diagnosis and treatment options for these conditions through coordinated medical specialisations.
